Set Up TiviMate
The player serious sport fans swear by. Here is how to get TiviMate running on Android TV or Firestick with your Strong 8K subscription, the right way.
Why TiviMate is the sport-watcher’s pick
TiviMate has quietly become the gold standard for live television on Android TV and Firestick. Its electronic programme guide is the best in the business, channel switching feels instant, and the playback holds firm even when the whole country is watching the same match. If you care about not missing kick-off, this is your app.
One thing to know up front: TiviMate is Android only. There is no iPhone or iPad version, so Apple households should look at IPTV Smarters Pro instead. For everyone else, the setup below uses Xtream Codes for the smoothest Strong 8K connection.
Before you start
- Your Strong 8K welcome email with username, password and server URL.
- An Android TV box, Google TV or a Firestick.
- A solid connection, 25 Mbps or more recommended for 4K.
Install TiviMate step by step
Install TiviMate
Find TiviMate in the Google Play Store on Android TV, or sideload it onto a Firestick using the Downloader app.
Open and add a playlist
Launch TiviMate and choose Add Playlist when the welcome screen appears.
Select Xtream Codes
Pick the Xtream Codes login option so the guide and channel groups arrive automatically.
Enter your Strong 8K details
Type the server URL, username and password from your email, taking care with the http or https prefix.
Process and watch
Let TiviMate process the playlist and guide, then open any channel to start streaming in 4K.
Get the most from TiviMate
Build a custom guide
Reorder channels and group them so your sport, films and news sit exactly where you want them. The guide remembers your layout.
Use the premium features
The optional upgrade unlocks recordings, multi-view and catch-up. For a sport household, it pays for itself the first time two matches clash.
Set a default player
If a stream stutters, switch the internal player engine in settings. A quick change often fixes playback on older boxes.
If it misbehaves
A failed playlist almost always means a typo in the server URL or a missing http prefix, so re-enter it carefully. Buffering during a big match is usually the network, not TiviMate, so a wired connection or a router restart helps. If the guide looks bare, reprocess the playlist from the settings menu and give it a minute.
