Who IBO Player suits

IBO Player is built for people who want their television to behave like television. The menus are clean, the layout is friendly to a TV remote, and once it is set up there is almost nothing to fiddle with. It is a natural fit for Smart TVs and for relatives who would rather not wrestle with technology.

It works a little differently from app-store players. Instead of typing a login on the TV, you activate the device once with its MAC key and upload your Strong 8K playlist through a web portal. It sounds fussy, but it takes minutes, and we cover each step below.

One activation per device

The MAC activation is a one-off. Once a TV is registered you will not be asked again, even after updates.

Keep the portal link saved

If you ever change subscription details, you update them on the web portal rather than on the TV. Bookmark it.

Use a strong connection

For smooth 4K, wire the TV in if you can, or sit it close to the router.

If channels won’t appear

If nothing loads after activation, double-check that the M3U URL was pasted in full with no stray spaces. A wrong MAC entry is another common slip, so compare it carefully with the screen. When everything looks right but the list is empty, restart the app on the TV to force a refresh.
